Welcome to Luther Burbank Middle School

At the Luther Burbank Middle School, we join together in partnership with our community to foster life-long curiosity and love for learning. Our collective purpose is to build wisdom, knowledge, respect, responsibility, and compassion by engaging the head, hands, and heart of each one of our students. We embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and we hold high expectations for all learners so that each may achieve to his or her fullest potential.                            ~ Laura Friend, Principal

Principal's Message

arrowsPrincipal's Update
I hope this message finds everyone well and having enjoyed a celebratory holiday season. I also hope the holiday break enabled everyone an opportunity to rest and recharge. While the break from the steady and busy pace we all lead was much appreciated, it was great to see our hallways filled with staff and students again on Tuesday. Our Luther Burbank faculty came back to school last week ready to go for the start of the new year. I spent time in many classrooms last week and was able to observe active and engaged students settling right back into the daily routine of learning and inquiry. It was great to see our community in action… back together again. A great start to a new year ahead.
