Welcome to Luther Burbank Middle School

At the Luther Burbank Middle School, we join together in partnership with our community to foster life-long curiosity and love for learning. Our collective purpose is to build wisdom, knowledge, respect, responsibility, and compassion by engaging the head, hands, and heart of each one of our students. We embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and we hold high expectations for all learners so that each may achieve to his or her fullest potential.                            ~ Laura Friend, Principal

Spring is here and excitement is abound. Our students and staff continue to combine efforts to embrace learning as we work toward mastery of the rich standards set before us. Our state-wide assessment window is upon us. Through April 8th, our students will be involved in the English language arts state assessment (MCAS). This testing offers us an excellent opportunity for our students to show just how capable they are by demonstrating all that they have learned throughout the school year. Thank you for your continued support as we collectively provide positive encouragement to our students during this time. Thank you, also, for your support in ensuring your child’s prompt arrival to school each day. Additional MCAS testing focusing on math and science/technology engineering will be held in May.
