Welcome to Luther Burbank Middle School

At the Luther Burbank Middle School, we join together in partnership with our community to foster life-long curiosity and love for learning. Our collective purpose is to build wisdom, knowledge, respect, responsibility, and compassion by engaging the head, hands, and heart of each one of our students. We embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and we hold high expectations for all learners so that each may achieve to his or her fullest potential.                            ~ Laura Friend, Principal

It’s incredibly hard to believe that we are entering the final weeks of the school year. Admittedly, I am still in disbelief that the year is coming to a close. It feels as if it was just yesterday when I was writing to you about our plans for the start of school. And, now it is June. As I reflect on the year, I am grateful. I am grateful for the Lancaster community and the tremendous talent and capacity of our students. The strength of our community and the genuine dedication shown by all has made our school a wonderful place for our students to learn and our community to come together. Thank you to all of you who have contributed, small and large, to make this school year a success It has been a true honor and privilege to serve as the Principal of the Luther Burbank Middle School, and I very much look forward to the year ahead.
