Welcome to Luther Burbank Middle School

At the Luther Burbank Middle School, we join together in partnership with our community to foster life-long curiosity and love for learning. Our collective purpose is to build wisdom, knowledge, respect, responsibility, and compassion by engaging the head, hands, and heart of each one of our students. We embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and we hold high expectations for all learners so that each may achieve to his or her fullest potential.                            ~ Laura Friend, Principal

"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." -William Butler Yeats

As a school and as a district, we have been talking a great deal about the impact that this screen-infused environment is having on our students and our society, in general. What will the future look like – could look like - as a result? Enter Screenagers to help us grapple with the concept and implications of growing up in the digital age.
