LBMS students focused on answering their Unit 3 question: "How do we best tell the stories of Africa and the factors that shaped them?" Students are diving into various topics and locations then making a decision on how to best present the history. This is a great connection to the theme of oral tradition and storytelling in ancient Africa.
Students at LBMS got the opportunity to participate in a Tasting Table this week! The students tried some delicious Sweet Potato Mashed Potatoes and got the chance to vote if they "Liked It", "Loved It", or "Not for Me".

LBMS hosted their annual Ballin' at Burbank staff versus student game. The LBMS chorus kicked the game off by singing the National Anthem, and the students walked away with a win this year!
The NRSD Jazz Program hosted their annual Nashoba Jazz Night the week before February break. The concert featured jazz bands from across the district, ranging from elementary to high school performers. The evening concluded with an NRSD District Jazz Ensemble performance of 2nd Line, a New Orleans Traditional jazz piece arranged by our own Nashoba Music Educators.
Nashoba Regional School District will be closed today, Monday, February 23rd, 2026, due to inclement weather.
LBMS students wrapped up their reading of The Outsiders by dressing the part!
Teachers from the NRHS Innovation Pathways Program along with NRHS Electives teachers spent time visiting eighth graders across the district this week. Their presentation focused on asking students to think about their own interests, before spending some time talking with teachers about their elective choices.
The LBMS Chorus performed at last Friday's Nashoba Takover Night at the Railers! After their performance they enjoyed the game, even getting the chance to meet the mascot and ride the zamboni.

LBMS and FSS kicked off the middle school Winter Concert season this past week!
Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing students toured the new NRHS high school build, and got the chance to stand in the area that will become their future woods and metals shop.
