Welcome to Luther Burbank Middle School

At the Luther Burbank Middle School, we join together in partnership with our community to foster life-long curiosity and love for learning. Our collective purpose is to build wisdom, knowledge, respect, responsibility, and compassion by engaging the head, hands, and heart of each one of our students. We embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and we hold high expectations for all learners so that each may achieve to his or her fullest potential.                            ~ Laura Friend, Principal

Principal's Message

arrowsPrincipal's Update
A heartfelt thank you to all of our families who joined us for our first Walk and Bike to School event last Wednesday. We had an excellent turnout. Upon reaching school, we counted 35 students who either walked or biked to school and that doesn’t include the parents, family members, and furry friends who joined in as well. Our pace was definitely quickened by the army of mosquitoes out in full force, but an elevated heart rate is good for the mind and body, too! Hopefully, this event will become an annual event and one in which our families, friends, students, and staff can come together to celebrate health and wellness as one community. As we look ahead to next year, we will look to even further strengthen the event in terms of scope and collective goals. Thank you for your support!
